    The problem with curfews...
is it gives police a reason to legitimately harass teenagers who are out for real reasons. In the US Justice System, there is the presumption of innocence. You are innocent until PROVEN GUILTY. With these curfews, you are guilty until you can prove innocence.

Besides, studies have repeatedly shown that most youth-crime is committed between about 3pm (or when school gets out), and 6pm (or when mom and dad get home). I oppose all such curfews being law. However, if I was a parent, my children would all have curfews.

Taking responsibility for you and your kids, and not relying on the government to parent your kids for you; is a core value.
