Drill Baby Drill
Chris,
I listened to your commentary with interest. However, I disagree with your final statement. Yes, oil does pollute and is finite as far a abundance goes. Your statement about it being the past and the present is valid, but until the innovation you are mentioning becomes a fiscally sound reality we will have to stick with oil. It is a bridge to the future and stopping drilling will not allow that future to get here any quicker. No sane person should expect the future to appear quicker if we stop drilling for oil now. We need to beef up the safety standards of drilling but we still need to drill. If we stop exploration and drilling because it will help the planet become greener, then how will we survive on energy to get us to work and around the world in the meantime.
