    NPR funding
    NPR consistantly provides well researched, in-depth, nonpartisan news reporting. The personal views of its reporters, be they conservative or liberal, are not presented on the air. There is no other source of news as reliable. If Federal funding is eliminated, about 100 local stations will probably be closed. Well informed citizens are essential for a well functioning democracy.
