that people like leno and letterman need writers at all. Cant they wing it? didnt they do stand up comedy once? The writers should all be replaced with people that can actually think of something new to put on tV that way, i wont have to record daytime tv and play it back at night.

comedy writers are not that funny. some of these guys impromptu

comments are better than anything written for them. You are right Mike B., they were/are stand up comedians. Ellen continues to do her show without skipping a beat.

if these writers continue this strike the least thing

they have to worry about will be scabs. I think a roof over their heads, food on the table for the family, and whatever other perks they are used to will be more on their minds. As always the little people are the ones being hurt by this strike.
