Documentary gives inside look at Supreme Court

WASHINGTON - For the first time ever, people will be able to get a behind-the -scenes look at the United States Supreme Court.

C-SPAN is kicking off "Supreme Court Week" on Sunday at 9 p.m. with an original 90-minute documentary produced by Mark Farkas.

The documentary, "The Supreme Court: Home to America's Highest Court," features interviews with every living Supreme Court Justice, current or retired -- a television first.

There have been programs about the history of the Supreme Court before, as well as shows on the history of the Supreme Court building.

This is the first documentary that looks at what the justices do on a day-to-day basis.

Viewers will get an inside look at the justices' chambers and other rarely-seen areas of the court like the robing room, justices' dining room, the John Marshall dining room, the lawyers' lounge and the courtyards - many of which have never been shown on television.
