Doug Hill's First Alert Forecast

Overnight:
Increasing Clouds, Showers Possible
Lows: 50s to Near 60
Wind: NE 5 m.p.h.
Wednesday:
Mostly Cloudy, Isolated Showers
Highs: Mid to Upper 70s
Wind: NE 5 m.p.h.
Thursday:
Partly Sunny
Highs: Mid 70s
Wind: SE 5 m.p.h.

An area of low pressure near Toronto and a cold front extending southward thru NY, PA and WV will move eastward tonight and cross our area. There have been a few isolated showers along the front. But a steady overcast west of the metro Washington area may prevent these showers from making it as far east as the I-95 corridor. Skies will be partly cloudy tonight and areas of fog may develop…much as they did last night.

High pressure will build in for the next few days with partly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures. A stronger cold front is expected to cross our area Friday night and will likely cause more widespread showers. Clearing and cooler weather is forecast for the weekend. In fact, this upcoming, first weekend of October will have an autumnal feel with partly sunny skies and highs mostly in the upper 60s.
