Wegmans recalls ice

WASHINGTON — Wegmans is recalling 7- and 18-pound bags of ice because the ice may contain metal pieces from a broken part in an ice-making machine.

The Food and Drug Administration says the recall is voluntary.

The ice was sold between Jan. 1 and June 10.

The ice was sold in stores in Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with the exception of Erie, Pennsyvlania.

The ice was sold in Virginia at the following stores: Virginia – Sterling (Dulles); Fairfax; Lake Manassas; Leesburg; Potomac; and Fredericksburg.

The ice was sold in Maryland at the following stores: Hunt Valley; Woodmore (Prince George’s County); Columbia; Bel Air; Frederick; Germantown; and Crofton.

The 7-pound bag has a UPC of 77890-29197, while the 18-pound bag has a UPC of 77890-29200, according to a Wegmans news release.

You can return the ice for a full refund.
