Faces getting scruffy near end of No-Shave November

WASHINGTON – Faces are getting scruffy for a good cause in this month of
No-Shave November.

A local team is among the top
fundraisers
in the nationwide effort to raise money for cancer
awareness.

“We might look bad, but we feel good,” says team leader Jed Woelfle of Morgan
Stanley, which has 57 people participating locally.

Morgan Stanley’s DC/Annapolis Complex team was the No. 2 team at last check.
Morgan Stanley as a whole was the No. 2 fundraising company nationally, at last
check.

Woelfle says everyone realizes they may look silly and less corporate than they
normally would, but the men feel it’s worth it.

“We know we’re doing something really good for some people who might not be able
to do if for themselves.”

The idea of putting down razors to raise money for the American Cancer Society
seems to be catching on. No-Shave November last year raised $200,000. As of
Friday afternoon, this year’s campaign had raised $936,164.
