It\'s basically the party happening around the world. Thursday, June 12, is the first day of the 2014 World Cup, and if you\'re planning out your watch-party calendar, we\'ve got you covered. From outdoor viewing parties to supporter-group bars and restaurants, here are some of the best places to watch the matches in D.C.

Laughing Man Tavern Laughing Man Tavern is the official bar of the American Outlaws D.C. Chapter -- the supporter group of the U.S. National Team. What does that mean?
Basically, if you want to watch the World Cup matches with some of the area's most passionate U.S. soccer fans, you will more than likely have that experience at Laughing Man.
Laughing Man will open its downstairs room to show every World Cup game.

Dupont Circle During the 2010 World Cup, D.C. soccer fans took over Dupont Circle to watch the U.S.-England game on two 25-foot screens. And it's happening again.
The U.S.-Germany match will be screened in Dupont Circle on Thursday, June 26, at noon, The Washington Post reports .

D.C. United Watch Party at Reston Town Center According to the Washington Post's Soccer Insider , D.C. United will host a World Cup Watch Party on Sunday, June 22, from noon until 9 p.m. at Reston Town Center .
The games will be shown on two screens; be sure not to miss the U.S.-Portugal match at 6 p.m.

The Queen Vic You'll definitely find soccer fans at The Queen Vic on H Street -- they just might not be U.S. soccer fans.

Cuba Libre Cuba Libre might not be the first establishment that comes to mind when you think of the World Cup, but the Penn Quarter Cuban restaurant is getting in the spirit.
Cuba Libre will host World Cup viewing parties June 17 and July 13. The restaurant will also have a specialty cocktails (hello, Caipirinha!) and tapas throughout the games.

The 14th Street restaurant will also bring in a projector, so fans can watch the matches on the second-floor roof deck.

Bold Bite Bethesda Bold Bite Bethesda is going all out for the World Cup. Chef Alonso Roche created a special tapas menu for the games, which he will serve on the 13 days Bold Bite hosts viewing parties.
On the menu is gambas al Ajillo-shrimp, tortilla de patatas with smoked aioli and mini chorizos.
