Trayvon Martin’s mother to speak at Baltimore Church

BALTIMORE (AP) – The mother of slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin is expected to speak at a Baltimore church.

The Rev. Jamal-Harrison Bryant, founder of the Empowerment Temple Church, tells the Baltimore Sun that Sybrina Fulton will share how she is coping with her son’s death on Sunday morning.

Martin’s shooting death in February sparked a national outcry. Neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder and released on bond.

Bryant says he wanted Fulton to speak to his congregation because her bravery is a powerful example of how to stand up to injustice.
