BALTIMORE (AP) — Robert Council hit Andrew King on a 15-yard scoring strike with 32 seconds left in the game to give Morgan State a 21-20 victory over North Carolina Central on Saturday.

Morgan State (4-3, 3-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) was trailing 20-7 with 12:34 remaining. The Bears drove 58 yards and scored when Herb Walker, Jr. ran it in from the 4. NCCU (3-4, 2-1) got to the Morgan State 34 where Eric Fenton missed a 51-yard field goal. The Bears then drove 66 yards in 10 plays to get the winning score.

Council finished with 226 total yards, rushing for 122 on 22 carries and throwing for another 104.

The NCCU defense was able to slow Walker Jr., who had been averaging 152.5 rushing yards per game, as he managed only 67 on 17 carries. However Council took up the slack, gaining 91 total yards in the final quarter.
