Epperly leads Princeton in 56-17 rout of Davidson

PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) — Quinn Epperly ran for four touchdowns to lead Princeton to a 56-17 rout of Davidson on Saturday night.

Epperly, the Tigers’ quarterback, had runs of 4 and 6 yards in the first quarter, and his 1-yard TD run to open the second quarter gave Princeton a 29-3 lead. He added another score from 10 yards to stretch the lead to 49-17 early in the fourth quarter.

Epperly had 16 carries for 118 yards, and was 15 of 18 for 176-yards passing. He accounted for three touchdowns in a road loss to San Diego last week, and has scored multiple touchdowns in 12 straight games.

Dre Nelson and Will Powers added TD runs for Princeton (1-1).

J.P. Douglas was 29 of 44 for 260 yards with one touchdown pass to lead Davidson (1-4).
