Georgia WR LeMay to transfer following arrest

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Georgia wide receiver Uriah LeMay has decided to transfer. He was one of four Bulldogs players arrested in March and charged with illegal check-cashing.

LeMay, from Matthews, North Carolina, redshirted in 2013, his first year at Georgia.

Also arrested on the misdemeanor charges in March were starting safety Tray Matthews and defensive linemen Jonathan Taylor and James DeLoach. The four were charged with receiving double payments for checks of $71.50 issued by the Georgia athletic department.

Georgia coach Mark Richt did not refer to the arrest in a brief statement released by the school Tuesday. Richt says LeMay decided to transfer “in order to have a better opportunity for playing time.”
