Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the gift of Cherry Blossom trees from Tokyo to Washington, DC, as a symbol of friendship between the US and Japan, Japanese Pop Idols AKB48 are here for their first-ever trip to DC.
The visit includes two performances at the Lincoln Theatre on March 27th, as well as this visit to Strong John Thomson Elementary School in the District (on March 26th), all part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
