Developer Sells Old Georgetown Road Office Building — D.C.-based Akridge sold its 12-story Fairmont Building at 7735 Old Georgetown Rd. for $46 million, about $20 million more than it bought it for in 2009. Akridge recruited new tenants, including employee and corporate wellness company LiveHealthier, to a building that is now about 95 percent full. O’Malley Discusses 2016 Presidential Run — At his last National Governors Association meeting, Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) discussed the likelihood that he’ll run for the 2016 Democratic nomination for president. O’Malley told reporters, “By the end of this year, we’re on course to have a body of work that lays the framework of the candidacy for 2016,” and that the Democratic party, “has not done a good enough job of selling our accomplishments.” [Politico]
