Holiday apps track shopping lists, spending

WASHINGTON – Savvy shoppers know they can use their smartphones to comparison shop, but a series of new apps can also make the holidays a lot easier by helping users keep track of shopping lists and budgets.

There are many apps out there for holiday shopping, but ToMuse.com reports these are the best for keeping track of a holiday shopping list and budget.

Christmas List Pro is an app that allows users to create lists for separate groups or family members on their shopping list. It also lets users track their spending and keep track of whether a gift has been wrapped and mailed yet. It even has a feature that lets you password protect your list so curious family members can’t see it.

Free Christmas List is an app that is primarily used for financial planning for the holiday. It keeps track of how much you’ve spent on gifts, your overall budget and is also password protected.

Better Christmas List creates separate groups for family and friends. It also lets users track their dwindling holiday budget for groups and individuals. The iPhone app works with the user’s address book.

The Christmas List app has similar features of the other apps listed above. This one lets users keep photos of the people they are buying for, the gifts they are considering and those they have purchased. It also counts you down to the holiday so you’re not caught off-guard when the end of the month arrives.
