Noodles meet burgers: Is ‘ramen burger’ a new food craze? (Video)

WASHINGTON – Combining burgers and ramen noodles may seem like a college student’s dream, but one Brooklyn chef is making it a reality.

The “ramen burger” is an all-beef patty between two ramen noodle buns.

Its creator and chef Keizo Shimamoto told CNBC that as a Japanese-American he grew up eating ramen and burgers and wanted to combine the two.

The burger is only offered at Brooklyn’s flea market, Smorgasburg and costs $8. About 250 people stood in line at the flea market to try it last week.

The burger is topped with Shoyu sauce, arugula and green onions.
