U. of Chicago jumps on ‘Call Me Maybe’ bandwagon

WASHINGTON – Want more evidence that Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” is really stuck in everyone’s head? A prestigious college is now using some of the song’s lyrics in college admissions letters.

The University of Chicago has sent out letters that say “We’re thrilled to hear that you’ve shown an interest in the University of Chicago. I know that we just met you – and this is crazy – but here are our numbers:”

The letter then breaks down some of the schools boasting points, like seven Nobel Prize winners that are on the faculty and the school’s famous scavenger hunt.

The letter ends, “so call us, maybe?”

A university spokesman tells the Chicago Tribune that the school is actually more fun loving than people may think.
