Moms grab pom poms to support sons’ football team

WASHINGTON – A group of Michigan moms has taken up pom poms to support their sons.

The St. Ignace Saints football team at LaSalle High School has been in the hunt for a state championship this year, but without that extra “oomph” from the sidelines. UpLiveNorth.com reports that because of a lack of interest, the 215-student school didn’t field a cheerleading squad.

Enter about 16 moms. They each put on their sons’ jerseys, head to the field and cheer, apparently pretty loudly.
