Arson Not Suspected in Fire that Killed Sisters

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) - Investigators say they don't think a fire that killed two Fairfax County teenagers last week was suspicious, but they haven't identified the cause.

The fire on Popkins Lane early Friday killed 16-year-old Morgan Whitsett and 13-year-old Ashley Whitsett after their father tried to rescue them from an upstairs bedroom.

The Fairfax County Fire Department says the preliminary cause of death is smoke inhalation.
