Man follows woman off bus, tries to rape her

She was getting off a bus on Bel Pre Road near Grand Pre Road around 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Montgomery County Police say a man also got off the bus and followed her toward her apartment complex.

As they passed a wooded area he grabbed the woman and forced her into the woods. Police say he tried to rape her, but she fought back hard and the man ran away across Bel Pre Road.

The woman has minor physical injuries and was treated at the hospital.

The attacker is described as black man in his 20's between 5'8" and 5'10". He was last seen wearing a red North Face jacket.
