Man Stabbed on Metrobus

June 14, 2007 - 5:56pm
BOWIE, Md. - A man is in critical condition after being stabbed on a Metrobus Thursday afternoon.

A man stabbed another passenger around 4:47 p.m. as the bus was traveling on the 4900 block of Collington Road, near Benjamin Tasker Middle School in Bowie, Prince George's County Police say.

When police arrived, the suspect locked himself on the bus. He was arrested shortly before 5 p.m., police say.

There were six people on the B-22 bus at the time of the stabbing, Metro says.

The bus was en route to Bowie State University.

Prince George's County Fire spokesman Chauncey Bowers says the man is in critical condition and was transported to an area hospital.
