CLEVELAND (AP) — Cleveland’s dynamic sports duo is about to show off some of its promotional powers.

LeBron James and Johnny Manziel are hitting the town together.

Spring Hill Productions, co-owned by James and business partner Maverick Carter, will host a private screening Thursday night for a comedy series the NBA superstar’s film company is producing, and Manziel, the Browns’ popular rookie quarterback, is on the guest list.

The screening will feature the first two episodes of “Survivor’s Remorse,” a Starz network comedy on the rise of a basketball phenom. The series will premiere on Oct. 4.

James, a four-time league MVP, has returned home to play for the Cavaliers after four seasons with the Miami Heat. He and Carter invited family and friends to the event, including Manziel, who signed a deal with LRMR, James’ marketing group, to handle some of his off-field projects.

“I am really excited we could host a special screening for Cleveland and Akron,” Carter told The Associated Press on Monday. “There is so much great energy at home right now.”

Carter said Spring Hill Productions is looking into filming and producing future projects in northeast Ohio.

Carter helped create “Survivor’s Remorse” along with lead writer Mike O’Malley and Boston Red Sox Chairman Tom Werner, who produced TV hits like “Cosby” and “Roseanne.”

The screening will also feature a “conversation” with James, Carter, Werner and Manziel.

James caused a stir in July when he showed up at Browns training camp with his young sons to watch Manziel, the Browns’ backup, practice.
