NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Band Perry’s lead singer Kimberly Perry has married professional baseball player J.P. Arencibia near her family’s home in Greeneville, Tennessee.

A publicist for the band confirmed the wedding occurred Thursday. According to The Greeneville Sun (http://bit.ly/1xVCR2B), the couple was married at a small chapel in the heart of the town’s historic district and fellow country star Carrie Underwood was spotted at the wedding.

Arencibia had been the regular catcher for Texas Rangers ace Yu Darvish but was optioned to the minors in May.

Perry and her two brothers, Reid and Neil, signed with Universal Republic in 2009 and had a quadruple platinum hit with “If I Die Young.” They are the 2014 Academy of Country Music Vocal Group of the Year.

Arencibia, of Miami, was a first-round pick in the 2007 draft by Toronto.
