Firefighters are evacuating buildings at Bethesda Row after the report of a gas leak on Monday afternoon.
Crews began evacuating Barnes & Noble at the corner of Woodmont Avenue and Bethesda Avenue around 12:50 p.m.
Expect MCFRS units to close off Bethesda Avenue at Arlington Road and Wisconsin Avenue as they deal with the call.
A Hazmat team has been called to the scene. MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer said there’s a possible leak in a four-inch high pressure gas line.
