Please join current and former teachers and families who have been a part of the Wonders at Somerset Community. Wonders has been proudly serving the Somerset community since 1986. Families depend upon Wonders to provide high quality, safe and fun learning environments for their children. One of the hallmarks of Wonders is providing financial assistance. This year the number of applications for financial assistance has increased over last year. We expect to provide $15,000 in financial assistance to the Wonders at Somerset Extended Day community. Join us in extending the Wonders family through your generous donations. Donations will be very much appreciated and accepted that evening.

Equinox BethesdaThe Power of Pink: Working Out to Stop Breast Cancer

Workout at Equinox Bethesda from 11:00am-12:30 pm. Luncheon at Redwood Restaurant and Bar in Bethesda from 1:00-2:00 pm. Working Out to Help Stop Breast Cancer will hold the 3rd Annual Event on October 9, 2014 at Equinox Fitness Club in Bethesda, MD. Over the past two years our event has raised over $60,000 to help women in need facing breast cancer. This year, our goal is to raise $100,000 to continue to provide women in need with essential services, including breast education, screenings and mammograms and if necessary, treatments for breast cancer.

Peacemaker of the Year Gala

The Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County will recognize Maryland State Senator Jennie M. Forehand as the 2014 Peacemaker of the Year in a ceremony on October 14 from 6-8p.m. at VisArt. Inc. located in the Rockville Town Center. A full buffet dinner will be served by Ridgewells Catering. CRCMC is one of the recepients of Ridgewells’ 85th Anniversary, #85 Daysof Giving celebration.
