The Bethesda Farm Women’s Market starts its “Taste of Fall” series bringing the best beers in Maryland this Friday to their wonderfully popular Food Truck Friday. The Farm Women’s Market will host a number of local artisans and craftspeople in coming weeks culminating on Saturday, October 18th with their 1st Annual “Taste of Fall” Crafts Event coinciding with the Bethesda Row Arts Festival and Friendship Heights’ Boo4 Halloween show next door to Clyde’s restaurant. Come sample locally brewed beer from Denizens Brewing Co. alongside Hardy’s BBQ and take home a growler for the weekend!

The C&O Canal Trust will be hosting the Fourth Annual Park After Dark Fundraiser on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. to benefit the C&O Canal National Historical Park (NHP). This unique event is held under the stars in the C&O Canal NHP at the beautiful Historic Great Falls Tavern. Attendees will kick back and enjoy live music, great food, libations, unique auction items, a campfire, and much more!

BSO Music Box is a new concert series created for babies and toddlers 6 months to 3 years and their families. Hosted by acclaimed actress, dancer and storyteller Maria Broom, the Music Box Series gives your budding music-lover the chance to explore music through highly engaging and interactive performances. Each half-hour concert features the musical talents of a small ensemble of BSO musicians performing classical and children’s songs to develop musicality, creativity, coordination and literacy.

The Bethesda Fire Department Open House will be held on September 27 from 11 am to 3 pm. Fun for the whole family with a chance to see the fire equipment up close and say thank you to the firefighter. You can have your picture taken riding a fire truck. There will be games, free food, a visit from Ronald McDonald and lots of fire safety info for you and children. The fire station is located on the corner of Bradley Blvd and Wisconsin Avenue.
