School Mourns Popular Teacher’s Death – Deighton Alleyne, a popular math teacher and coach at Washington Episcopal School, died Tuesday of complications from a stroke. He was 57. Alleyne worked at the school for 17 years and was known for his booming voice and fast-paced classes. The school is planning a memorial event later this year for alumni. [Bethesda Magazine]

BRAC Updates Coming Tuesday – Montgomery County’s BRAC Integration Committee (BIC) will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center (4805 Edgemoor Lane). On the agenda are updates on all the major road improvement projects and a report from Suburban Hospital on its 2020 Campus Enhancement Plan, expected to break ground in October. [Montgomery County]
