Times Set For Bethesda Fire Department Redevelopment Meetings – The Bethesda Fire Department is considering a redevelopment project at its Fire Station #6 property at the corner of Bradley Boulevard and Wisconsin Avenue. The nonprofit set two public meeting dates — Sept. 11 and Sept. 18 — and now has set a 7 p.m. start time for both meetings at the fire station (6600 Wisconsin Ave.). [Town of Chevy Chase]

Police: Armed Man Tried To Sexually Assault Woman – D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department says a man with a knife tried to remove a female victim’s clothing before the victim escaped during an attempted sexual assault on Saturday night in D.C., near Chevy Chase. The incident happened at about 11:30 p.m. in the area of Oliver Street NW and Western Avenue, police said. [MPD]

Christie Coming To Bethesda To Fundraise For Hogan – New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will come to Bethesda on Sept. 17 to raise money for Republican counterpart Larry Hogan. Hogan is running against Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown (D) in this year’s Maryland gubernatorial election. The Hogan campaign didn’t reveal where the Christie event will take place. [Washington Post]
