The 24-year-old Bethesda man hit by a car last Wednesday night on Rockville Pike has died, according to police.
Matthew Aaron Papirmeister, of the 8600 block of Melwood Road, succumbed to his injuries over the weekend at Suburban Hospital, police said Monday. Family members were present.
Police said Papirmeister was hit at about 11:15 p.m. while crossing the southbound lanes of Rockville Pike at Executive Boulevard in North Bethesda.
The driver, 57-year-old Madani Diallo of Adelphi, remained on the scene. Police have not charged Diallo.
An on-duty officer witnessed the collision, according to police, who are asking for anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620. Callers may remain anonymous.
