Riemer Looking For Liquor Reform Hashtag – Councilmember Hans Riemer last week asked his Facebook followers for a hashtag to describe efforts to reform the county’s control liquor model. The Facebook post came after a Council hearing in which members of Council learned that the county doesn’t allow one-day licenses for selling bottles of wine in church or nonprofit auctions. He got an array of responses, including one from the county’s Department of Liquor Control that said the church wine sale rule is a statewide law that Montgomery County is working to change. White Flint Committee Looking For Members – The county advisory board charged to set up a urban partnership-type group for the future “downtown White Flint” has two openings.
