Bethesda’s ‘Flag Lady’ Strikes Again – If there’s a small American flag on your front lawn Friday, it’s likely the work of local realtor Jane Fairweather, who for more than 20 years has placed the flags in neighborhoods all over Bethesda and Chevy Chase. Bethesda Couple Tastes Beer No. 25,000 – Bob and Ellie Tupper first started tasting beers in 1979 and on Wednesday, the high school history teacher and production editor of scientific book logged beer tasting 25,000 at a brew company in Ashburn. The so-called “gypsy brewers” have produced their own beers and are known throughout the area for their tasting notes.
