Weekly Crime Report: June 9 to June 17

Police report a break-in and two other thefts from cars in a Bethesda Metro station parking garage:

Three thefts from vehicles occurred in the parking lot at Bethesda Metro Center in Bethesda between Thursday, 6/11 and Friday, 6/12. One vehicle had forced entry and two did not. Glasses, small electronics and speakers were reported taken.

The rest of the most recent 2nd District crime summary follows:

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 4200 block of Stanford Street in Chevy Chase sometime between Sunday, 6/15 and Monday, 6/16. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

Three thefts from vehicles occurred Chevy Chase Village in Chevy Chase overnight between Monday, 6/9 and Tuesday, 6/10. No forced entry. Incidents occurred on West Irving Street and Grafton Street. Loose items were taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at the American Board of Addiction Medicine, 4300 Montgomery Avenue in Bethesda overnight between Thursday, 6/12 and Friday, 6/13. Forced entry; property taken.

A vehicle theft and two attempted vehicle thefts occurred in the 11600 block of Nebel Street in North Bethesda sometime between Thursday, 6/12 and Friday, 6/13.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 6400 block of Wiscasset Road in Bethesda on Saturday, 6/14 at approximately 2:10 a.m. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

Eleven thefts from vehicles/garage burglary occurred during overnight hours in residential neighborhoods along the border with DC. One vehicle had forced entry, the rest involved unforced or unknown entries. Vehicles were searched and wallets, loose coins, and GPS units were taken.  Five incidents occurred overnight between Wednesday, 6/9 and Thursday, 6/7 and the rest occurred overnight between Wednesday, 6/11 and Thursday, 6/12.
