Black Bear Sightings – There have been three black bear sightings this week in Montgomery County, according to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. One of those sightings came Tuesday from a resident who reported seeing a black bear on Cheshire Drive in Bethesda. It’s not unusual for young black bears to roam into more developed parts of Maryland during this time of year. The bears aren’t known to be dangerous to humans, so the best move is to just stay away. Good Early Voting Turnout Numbers – More than 21,000 voters showed up at early voting centers on Wednesday around the state, the strongest turnout for early primary voting since the procedure began in the 2010 election. A record total of 111,630 voters have participated in early voting, also an improvement over the 2010 gubernatorial primary. The last day of early voting is Thursday. [MarylandReporter.com]
County Cable To Do Live Local Election Coverage – Six local government stations will broadcast live primary election analysis and results on Tuesday. The coverage will focus on county government, the county delegation to the Maryland General Assembly, the gubernatorial race and other statewide races of interest. Gallery B Announces July Exhibition – The July exhibition at Gallery B is “Summer Visions,” and will include works by five local artists: Shaune Bazner, Judy Gilbert Levey, Donna McGee, Patricia Zannie and Michele Zugrav.
