Board of Education Members To Stop Using Credit Cards – Board of Education members have agreed to stop using their school system-issued credit cards after board member Chris Barclay was found to have misused his multiple times. The Board formed an ad-hoc committee in April to review the “processes and guidelines regarding reimbursable expenses.” [The Gazette]
Council Public Hearing On Capital Crescent Trail – The County Council will hold a hearing on a bill that would allow for $95 million toward rebuilding the Capital Crescent Trail along the Purple Line. The money was inserted into the capital budget this year. Because it’s such a large sum, it must go through a separate public hearing and Council committee process. The hearing is set for 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17 in Rockville. [Montgomery County Council]
