Developer Drops Support For Trachtenberg – Bruce Lee, president of Silver Spring-based Lee Development, said he “made a mistake supporting Duchy” in her District 1 Council race against Roger Berliner. Lee was one of a group of developers who held an April fundraiser for Trachtenberg at Congressional Country Club. Lee said he was put off by the fact that union officials — the same ones who have also pledged their support to Trachtenberg — showed up at the event. [Bethesda Magazine]

5 More Bikeshare Stations On The Way – Thanks to $250,000 approved on May 14 by the Maryland Board of Public Works, Montgomery County will build five new Capital Bikeshare stations in its downcounty system. A MCDOT spokesperson said the department isn’t yet sure where the new stations will go, but the department expects to add them in spring 2016. There are now 49 downcounty stations in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Silver Spring and Takoma Park. [Montgomery County]

Dyer Offers Purple Line-Related Election Advice – During an at-large Council candidates debate on Wednesday in Chevy Chase, incumbent George Leventhal gave a shout-out — of sorts — to local blogger and Republican candidate Robert Dyer.
