City Burger To Open Next Week – City Burger, the latest from Food Wine & Co. chef Michael Harr, will open on Wednesday, May 14 at 7015 Wisconsin Ave. Most burgers and sandwiches will run for $7 and less. Ice cream and custard for milkshakes will be made in-house. The spot will have limited seating and be more geared toward carry-out orders. [Washingtonian Magazine]

Walter Johnson Wins County Gymnastics Title – The gymnastics team from Walter Johnson High School won the county gymnastics championship on Tuesday after finishing second in a number of meets over the last few years. [The Gazette]

Cardin Missed Most Of His Committee Votes In 2014 Session – Jon Cardin, the Baltimore County delegate and frontrunner in the state’s attorney general race, missed 121 out of 164 committee votes on his House Ways and Means Committee this year. The committees decide whether bills go forward or are killed, and can add amendments. Cardin declined to explain why he missed almost 75 percent of the votes. Some said it could be the opening District 16 Sen. Brian Frosh, who’s running against Cardin for the attorney general nomination, needs to make up ground in the race. [Baltimore Sun]

First Democratic Gubernatorial Debate Wednesday – Anthony Brown, Doug Gansler and Heather Mizeur will debate Wednesday in College Park starting at 7 p.m. The hour-long debate, moderated by “Meet The Press” host David Gregory, will be shown locally on WRC (Channel 4). [Washington Post]
