A large firetruck wheel came loose on Cedar Lane on Wednesday, damaging at least three parked cars.

The incident happened around 12:15 p.m., when a firetruck heading east on Cedar Lane near NIH lost a front wheel. The wheel hit and damaged at least three cars parked along the south curb of the road, a favorite parking area for workers at NIH.

It doesn’t appear anyone was injured in the incident. Police are on the scene doing an incident report.

The firetruck down one wheel is still stopped in the eastbound lane of Cedar Lane near Rockville Pike, so be cautious if you’re driving through the area.
