Upcounty Looking For More Representation This Primary – The downcounty area of Montgomery County has historically dominated in political races for the County Council’s four at-large seats. Three of the four current at-large members live in Takoma Park and the fourth lives in Garrett Park. There have been two at-large members from the upcounty since 1974, likely due to higher populations and political activity in places such as Bethesda and Silver Spring. [Washington Post]

Bold Bite Back Open For Dinner – Bold Bite (4901 Fairmont Ave.) wasn’t seeing many customers come through this winter, when heavy construction activity and dark evenings meant folks were staying away from Fairmont Avenue. So they adjusted and came out with a popular breakfast menu that might stick as the restaurant reopens for dinner. [Bold Bite via Facebook]

Big Train Charity Softball Event Adds Dixon – The Bethesda Big Train Celebrity Softball Classic, set for Saturday, April 12 at Shirley Povich Field (10600 Westlake Dr.), will feature former Maryland basketball star Juan Dixon, Washington Redskins linebacker Perry Riley Jr. and United States women’s soccer players Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris. Former Redskins tight end Chris Cooley, now a radio personality, will coach the media team. [Bethesda Big Train]

Visitors Bureau Looking For Touristy Photos – The Conference & Visitors Bureau of Montgomery County is looking for photos of places around the county to feature. One could be picked as the cover photo for its Spring 2014 visitors guide. [CVB of Montgomery County]
