Appeals Court Rejects Lord & Taylor Suit — Lord & Taylor suffered another loss in its legal battle against White Flint Mall when a Federal Appeals Court rejected its effort to stop the redevelopment of the mall until its suit against the mall makes its way through court. Some Complain About I-270 Shutdown To Catch Bank Robbers — Some residents have complained about Montgomery County Police and the Maryland State Police’s decision to shut down I-270 near Tuckerman Lane on March 11. Police shut the busy highway down because a GPS system inside a bag of cash just stolen from a bank in Rockville indicated the cash was in that location. But one letter to the County Council called it “Hollywood-style” policing. Police arrested three suspects, recovered weapons and nearly $13,000 in cash. I-270 was closed for about 30 minutes.
