Weekly Crime Report: Feb. 24 to March 4

The most recent 2nd District crime summary includes this bizarre scooter robbery we reported on Feb. 27:

An armed robbery occurred in the 5500 block of Friendship Boulevard in Chevy Chase on Thursday, 2/27 at 9:10 a.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

Suspect: B/M, 6’, black crew cut hair
Vehicle: Silver early ‘00’s model Toyota Corolla

An aggravated assault occurred in the 4300 block of East West Highway in Bethesda on Tuesday, 2/25 at approximately 12:10 p.m. The suspects are known to the victim.

A commercial burglary occurred at Tia Queta, 4839 Del Ray Avenue in Bethesda overnight between Monday, 2/24 and Tuesday, 2/23. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 5000 block of Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda on Monday, 2/24 at approximately 12:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 3400 block of Glenmoor Drive in Chevy Chase on Tuesday, 2/25 at approximately 9:30 a.m. The suspect is known to the victim.

A commercial burglary occurred at Exxon, 6200 MacArthur Boulevard in Potomac sometime between the evening of Saturday, 3/1 and the morning of Sunday, 3/2. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 5200 block of Falmouth Court in Bethesda on Wednesday, 2/26 at 1:15 p.m. Unknown entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 5500 block of Goldsboro Road in Bethesda at approximately 10:30 a.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 9900 block of Fernwood Road in Bethesda on Thursday, 2/27 between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Unforced entry; property taken.
