MoCo PTAs Hope Thursday Rally Gets Attention In Annapolis — Organizers are expecting about 300 to 400 Montgomery County school parents to rally in Annapolis on Thursday in support of a school construction funding bill for MCPS. Many county lawmakers all but declared the bill dead this year, pointing to election year politics and the multi-year process it sometimes takes to get statewide support for bills targeted at specific jurisdictions. Montgomery County’s top local and state leaders will be at the rally and some say there’s still a chance the up to $20 million a year funding bill gets passed this General Assembly. [The Gazette]

Parking Problems No More? — The Bethesda Central Farm Market now has full, unlimited parking for its customers at its Bethesda Elementary School site, after the religious school that needed the spots for its Sunday programming left the location. The parking squeeze at the market led to some friction with the Bethesda Library next door, where Farm Market patrons would park. [Central Farm Markets]
