Anti-Pepco Advocate Opposes PSC Appointment — Abbe Milstein, the North Bethesda resident who started Powerupmontco, started a petition urging state senators not to approve Gov. Martin O’Malley’s appointment of energy executive Anne Hoskins to the state’s Public Service Commission. The PSC rules on rate increase requests and other cases involving utility companies in the state. Groups Accuse WSSC Of Polluting Potomac River — Environmental groups on Wednesday filed suit against the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, alleging it is discharging millions of pounds of sediment and aluminum into the Potomac River from its water filtration plant near Seneca. [The Gazette]
