Bethesda Driver Killed In 270 Crash — Sydney Prather, 53, was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Thursday night on I-270 near Frederick. Beltway’s Most Dangerous Section? — Stats from the State Highway Administration say the windy four-mile stretch of the Beltway between Georgia Avenue and Rockville Pike had the highest average number of documented crashes per year. The stats are from a five-year count between 2008 and 2013 that recorded an annual average of 260 crashes in the stretch. There have been five fatal crashes there since 2008. [WTOP]
