Montgomery County Police are investigating a single-vehicle collision early Saturday morning in North Bethesda that left a Rockville man dead.
Police say 26-year-old Rufino Pangramuyen Lopez, Jr., of the 4400 block of Bel Pre Road, was pronounced dead after he was found in a 2001 Ford F-250 truck that struck a utility pole.
Detectives from the county’s Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating why Lopez, Jr., driving eastbound on Old Georgetown Road and making a left turn to northbound Nebel Street, apparently lost control of the truck.
Fire rescue units and police were called to the accident at 1:50 a.m. on Saturday. Police are asking for anyone with information about the collision to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
