Burglar Shatters Glass, Tries Getting Into Other Businesses

Montgomery County Police say this man went on a late-night burglary spree on East-West Highway, shattering the rear glass door of one business and testing the doors of a few others.

Police released the video on Thursday in hopes of getting help identifying the suspect, who detectives said broke the glass door at Bethesda Vision Care (4300 East-West Highway) some time before 2:36 a.m. on Nov. 28.

That’s when an alarm in the store was activated, prompting a police response. Police say the man entered the store but didn’t take anything.

The video above shows the suspect trying to pull open a door at a nearby business.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about this burglary is asked to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or enter a tip online. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.
