Minimum Wage Effort Enters Big Week — The Montgomery County Council appears to have a five-vote majority to approve a law that would increase the county’s minimum wage to $11.50 per hour over the next three years. But many factors are in play, including uncertainty over the bill in Prince George’s County and the upcoming statewide push to increase the minimum wage to $10 per hour. [Washington Post]

Town of Chevy Chase Thanksgiving Baskets — The Town, Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, Chevy Chase Elementary School and the Jane E. Lawton Community Center will fill 75 Thanksgiving dinner baskets this month for MCPS families in-need. Through Wednesday, Nov. 20, drop off a check to help fund the baskets.
