Minimum Wage Effort Enters Big Week — The Montgomery County Council appears to have a five-vote majority to approve a law that would increase the county’s minimum wage to $11.50 per hour over the next three years. Town of Chevy Chase Thanksgiving Baskets — The Town, Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, Chevy Chase Elementary School and the Jane E. Lawton Community Center will fill 75 Thanksgiving dinner baskets this month for MCPS families in-need. Through Wednesday, Nov. 20, drop off a check to help fund the baskets.
