Founder Of Leading Land Use Law Firm Dies — Joe Blocher, co-founder of Bethesda-based Linowes and Blocher LLP, died on April 5. Blocher was key in negotiating some of the land-use policies that came as Montgomery County went from classic suburb to economic engine. [Washington Business Journal]

Car Chase Ends In North Bethesda — Police say they chased a suspected drunk driver from the White Oak section of Silver Spring to the intersection of Randolph Road and Parklawn Drive after they attempted to pull the suspect over. The suspect reportedly hit several cars. [ABC7]

Pyle Middle School Student Sings On-Stage With Green Day — Davis Gestiehr, 12, performed the national anthem before a Washington Nationals game last summer.
