One of the areas busiest thoroughfares may be shut down for tomorrow’s morning rush thanks to a 54-inch water main break that sent water gushing into the air in Chevy Chase on Monday night.
Multiple news outlets are reporting the break, on Chevy Chase Lake Drive, has closed down Connecticut Avenue in both directions between Manor Drive and Dunlap Street.
WSSC say there is no estimate for how long it will take to repair the break.
Bethesda Patch has video of the break, which sent water shooting a dozen or more feet into the air.
Suburban Hospital is advising residents that the break could result in low or no water pressure.
