Weekly Crime Report: Jan. 14 to Jan. 22

Two 15-year-old boys from Bethesda were arrested for allegedly stealing a running vehicle near Walter Johnson High School a few weeks ago:

A vehicle theft occurred in the 10000 block of Sinnott Drive in Bethesda on Thursday, 1/17 at approximately 11:00 a.m.  The victim left vehicle running; suspects took it and were arrested.

Arrested: Male, age 15, from Bethesda; male, age 15, from Bethesda

Also in this week’s latest Bethesda Police District crime summary, someone was arrested for allegedly “inappropriately touching himself” in front of people in Friendship Heights:

A sex offense occurred in the 4600 block of North Park Avenue in Chevy Chase on Wednesday, 1/16 at approximately 12:45 p.m.  The suspect was inappropriately touching himself in view of others.

A residential burglary occurred in the 7000 block of Heathwood Court in Bethesda, sometime between Wednesday, 1/16 and Monday, 1/21.  No forced entry; unknown what was taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at 4905 St Elmo Avenue in Bethesda, overnight from Thursday, 1/17 to Friday, 1/18.  Forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 4600 block of Hunt Avenue in Chevy Chase on Friday, 1/18 at approximately 8:45 a.m.  Unknown entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 10100 block of Ashburton Lane in Bethesda on Friday, 1/18 at approximately noon. Unknown entry; unknown what was taken.

Arrested: Male, age 28, from Upper Marlboro

A residential burglary occurred in the 3900 block of Dunnell Lane in Kensington on Friday, 1/18 between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.  Forced entry; nothing taken.

A theft from vehicle occurred in the 5500 block of Randolph Road in North Bethesda on Friday, 1/18 between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.  Forced entry; purse taken.
